NEW: Recovery Act Funding for CHP, Waste Energy, District Energy, and Industrial Efficiency Projects - PROPOSALS DUE JULY 14th

The U.S. Department of Energy is offering financial assistance for new CHP, waste energy, district energy, and industrial efficiency projects as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. We encourage all potential projects from our region to apply.

** The Intermountain CHP Center is available to provide guidance and technical assistance for CHP, waste energy, and district energy projects in our region (AZ, CO, NM, UT, and WY). Some other notes:

  • Projects that can start up soon, and projects that create and/or retain jobs, will receive higher priority for funding.
  • There is a $1,000,000 minimum award for CHP projects; however, smaller projects can be combined in one proposal to meet the threshold.
  • All types of entities are eligible to apply (other than federal agencies, Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) contractors, and nonprofit organizations the engage in lobbying)
  • All proposals have to be submitted through the federal system, as explained in the solicitation.
  • The deadline for proposals is July 14th.

For more information, see the full solicitation here or go to www.fedconnect.net/Fedconnect. For assistance from the Intermountain CHP Center, Contact Us.
